Sonnenblick-Goldman Company has arranged the $4.5 million sale of the boutique Silverado Hill Cellars winery on behalf of a private Japanese client, Minami Kyushu CCBC. Premier Pacific Vineyards purchased the licensed winery and vineyard.
The 36-acre, fee-simple winery, one mile from the famed Silverado Resort, fronts on the west side of the Silverado Trail and is bordered to the west by the Napa River. The winery is in the Oak Knoll grape-growing district and has a use permit for the production of 50,000 gallons of wine annually.
Having achieved its strategic objectives of technology transfer for winery holdings in Japan and elsewhere, Minami Kyushu CCBC decided to sell the winery earlier this year to refocus on its larger core investments.
"Despite the reported softness in the wine industry, there was no shortage of interest in the coveted Napa vineyard and address," says Robert Stiles, managing director and principal at Sonnenblick-Goldman Company. "The competitive private offering attracted a wide variety of potential buyers seeking a foothold or expanded capacity in America’s premier vineyard district." |
